Why we designed $VOFF with no VC allocation, no team tokens, and full distribution to contributors and artists.
Every bonded track on VNON deploys its own $VOFF token on Base. The supply is fixed: 100,000,000,000 (100B) tokens per song. The distribution is, deliberately, the simplest math we could write.
80B (80%) goes to the artist and credited collaborators, divided by the royalty splits set at upload. These tokens are locked with a 180-day cliff and a 180-day linear vest after bonding โ long enough that the artist's incentive aligns with token-holder outcomes, short enough that they actually see the value of the asset they earned.
10B (10%) airdrops pro-rata to the pre-bond contributors at the moment of bonding. If you put in $100 of a $5,000 target, you get 2% of the airdrop = 200M $VOFF.
10B (10%) seeds the $VOFF/WETH DEX liquidity pool, paired with 40% of the USDC raise. This is what makes the token actually tradeable on day one. The LP tokens are held by the VNON treasury and are NOT locked.
0% goes to investors. 0% goes to the VNON team. 0% goes to advisors. 0% is reserved for marketing partnerships. The full supply is distributed to the people who made the song and the people who funded it.
This is the design we landed on after writing about a dozen others. Every prior version had carve-outs that, on inspection, made the token feel like a vehicle for someone other than the artist and their fans. The current version is the smallest possible structure that makes the song an asset and gives both sides skin in the game.
A few mechanics worth noting. Royalties flow 80% to the creators, 10% to bond pool contributors, 5% to DEX LPs, and 5% to the VNON treasury โ distributed pro-rata to $VOFF holders. DEX trading fees: 50% to the artist for the life of the token. The buy-and-burn mechanic on streaming + sync royalties applies to $VIFT (gift drops), not $VOFF โ $VOFF tokens are not burned; their value accretion comes from the royalty stream itself.
No private rounds. No discount tiers. Every backer at the same price.
